Although, we don’t have a standard size for name badges, the most common and popular size is about 70x25mm. Our pricelist is based on badges of around this size, but we do custom sizes based on your requirements.
A choice of magnetic or pin fasteners or backings are offered. Magnetic backings are more popular than pin backings, since there is a perception that pin backings risk damaging clothes. The magnetic backings are heavier in comparison but does not cause discomfort.
The cost is determined by the following factors:
- Quantity
- Size
- Customisation of each badge, for example, each badge might have a different name
- Pin or magnet backing
Inter Changeable Name Badges are made from either a black, gold or silver face. Names can be printed by yourself or we could provide you with a quote to print them. Branding can also be done on the face of the tag. This is done by a pad print or the more popular choice of applying a domed sticker to the face.
Conference Name Tags are basic clear pockets where printed names can be inserted. We can also quote you on the printing and preparation of these tags.
At Redblock , we produce name badges manufactured from a product called Rowmark which is metallic in appearance and is then engraved or alternatively we print full colour stickers to apply to the badge and treat afterwards by covering the sticker with a transparent resin. This adds a glossy and dome like effect to the badge. You also have the choice of a magnetic or pin backing.
What is Rowmark?
A plastic based material which is popular because of the silver, gold and copper colours, and it is available in a huge variety of different colours as well. The top 0.2mm layer is not the same colour as the inner core of the sheet, which results in a contrast when you engrave letters, logos or even photos on it. Romark is mainly used for making name badges, boards in doctors’ consulting rooms – generally mounted onto a wooden block, desk name boards and more.
